Why pressure washing kills shirts faster than any other trade

Sodium hypochlorite is the working chemical in most soft-wash mixes, and it does to a shirt exactly what it does to algae. Crews know the pattern: a new shirt looks professional for about three weeks, then the colour goes patchy and the printed logo starts lifting at the edges. Most operators respond by buying cheap shirts and treating them as disposable, which is why so many pressure washing trucks pull up to a house with a crew in faded blank tees.

Two things actually help. Darker garments hide chemical spotting far longer than light ones, and stitched logos outlast printed ones because there is no surface layer to lift. Neither makes a shirt immortal. Both buy months instead of weeks.

The back print is the real advertising

Pressure washing is one of the few trades where the customer's neighbours watch the whole job. A crew spends hours visible from the street with their backs to the road. A large company name and phone number across the shoulders is the cheapest neighbourhood advertising available, and it is working the entire time the wand is running.

The usual configuration is a stitched logo on the left chest and a big print across the back — two techniques on one shirt. See embroidered work shirts for the chest side and the full range for crew hoodies and caps.

Published pricing, no quote form

Custom tees start at $22.99 for a single piece. At 20+ pieces bulk tees run $19 each and scale on published tiers down to $16 at 1,000+. Long sleeves start at $29.99, embroidered hoodies at $42.99, and polo programs run from about $21 per piece at 20+. Embroidery carries a one-time digitizing setup per logo — after that, reorders of any size reuse the same stitch file.

Pay your way

Eligible orders can be split into four payments at checkout with Shop Pay Installments / Affirm, Afterpay, Cash App Pay or PayPal Pay Later — useful when a crew order lands in the same week as a slow invoice. Eligibility is confirmed by the provider at checkout. More detail on the pay-over-time page.

FAQ

Will the shirts survive bleach?

No shirt survives sodium hypochlorite indefinitely. Dark garments hide spotting much longer than light ones, and stitched logos outlast printed logos because there is no surface layer to lift.

Can I get the logo stitched on the chest and the company name printed on the back?

Yes. Embroidered chest and printed back on the same garment is a standard configuration.

I am a one-man operation. Can I order one shirt?

Yes. There is no minimum. A single tee is $22.99.

How much for a crew of five?

Five tees at $22.99 each. Bulk pricing of $19 per tee begins at 20 pieces.

Can I add a phone number to the back print?

Yes. Phone numbers, service areas and licence numbers are all common on the back panel.
